Working from home provides me with the opportunity to earn an income in a safe and secure environment. I can effectively balance work, household tasks, and childcare without the stress of commuting. This employment has contributed significantly to our family’s financial stability, boosting my confidence. Additionally, through online platforms, I’ve been able to participate in international projects and uncover opportunities I never thought possible.

Finding the Right Work by Leveraging Individual Strengths
One participant, who experiences right-side paralysis and short-term memory challenges due to a stroke, initially found typical annotation tasks difficult. However, with guidance and support from the project team leader, they not only completed the work but also became capable of conducting self-checks by the end. This project created opportunities for users who had previously been unable to work with computers to participate in the tasks.

Rediscovering the Joy of Work
Earning an income again after such a long time reminded me of the value of being part of society. With my paycheck, I was able to treat my husband to a nice meal as a token of gratitude for his support. Now, I’m thinking about ways I can do something special for my parents as well. This experience has helped me rediscover the joy of working and express my appreciation to the people who matter most. I look forward to continuing my journey as a Baopart.

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in LLM-related tasks. Participants shared how their understanding of generative AI has deepened, and their initial hesitation has diminished. Many are now actively engaging in other AI-related work, which has not only boosted their motivation but also expanded their potential.

A typically quiet participant started to engage more and smiled often throughout the process. Everyone has their own strengths, but exploring different tasks helped them discover what they excel at. I saw many participants begin working with clearer goals and a more positive attitude.

Able to Respond to Family Emergencies Without Stress
When my child’s elementary school unexpectedly closes a class, I often need to pick them up around noon. Baobab’s flexible work model allows me to make adjustments with ease, which is a tremendous relief. In my previous job, taking time off was often met with disapproval - people would even ask, “Shouldn’t your wife pick them up?” It made taking sudden leave very challenging. Now, I can work in a way that accommodates my family’s needs, and I feel confident and secure in continuing my job.

AI Work Gave Me Confidence and a Positive Outlook
In today’s world, where AI is becoming an integral part of everyday life, I take great pride and feel more confident being involved in AI-related work, even in a small capacity. This experience has helped me embrace my own illness and personal traits with greater acceptance.
At first, I was apprehensive about taking on unfamiliar tasks, but by following the guidelines and completing the work, I gained a profound sense of accomplishment.
As I received more work offers, my feelings of isolation and anxiety have significantly diminished. I now feel more motivated, fulfilled in my daily life, and eager to pursue greater independence.

A Return to Work I Never Thought Possible
Through my work with Baobab, I’ve gained proficiency in new tools like Google Docs, spreadsheets, and Zoom. I’m now also assisting at an accounting office, where I can leverage both the skills I’ve acquired and my previous work experience. I once believed that returning to work after pregnancy and childbirth would be challenging - perhaps even impossible. But thanks to this opportunity, I’ve made a successful comeback, and I’m deeply happy and grateful for it.

Turning Unique Traits into Strengths
In this project, a participant with high-functioning autism worked at an impressive speed, and we saw his strengths fully harnessed. His abilities truly stood out. Working with Baobab has also fostered greater opportunities for team communication and mutual respect. As support staff, we’re thrilled to see him fully engaged in the work, without stress, and in a way that aligns with his strengths.

Rediscovering My Will to Work
After stepping away from my previous job due to mental and physical health challenges, I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to work again. However, through Baobab, I’ve found a safe and supportive path back into the workforce. The dependable online support system has made a world of difference, and I now feel that I’m contributing to something truly meaningful. This experience has reignited my desire to work, and I’m now beginning to reflect on the type of work I truly want to pursue moving forward.

Finding Fulfillment by Using Their Skills
At our support center, participants usually work until 4 p.m., but on Baobab days, more and more are saying, “I want to stay until 5!” It is clear that their motivation and potential are being fully ignited. During breaks, they enthusiastically brainstorm creative ways to improve their tasks, showcasing a new level of energy and engagement. I truly believe that having a space where they can meaningfully apply their skills gives them a profound sense of fulfillment and joy.

Enjoying Work Thanks to a Supportive Environment
In my previous job, whenever I attempted to improve things - such as enhancing the way materials were presented - I was reprimanded for “doing unnecessary things.”
At Baobab, however, they make a point of listening attentively and genuinely prioritize creating a comfortable, supportive work environment. As a result, I’ve found myself more motivated and able to truly enjoy my work. I sincerely believe that this environment is the perfect fit for me.

Grateful That My Challenge Contributes to Society
I currently work full-time as an administrative staff member at a major company. When I was given the opportunity to take on side jobs, I sought to gain new skills and experiences - and that’s when I discovered Baobab. I enjoy taking on tasks I’ve never encountered before, and I was especially honored to contribute to a project linked to an award-winning academic paper. It still feels surreal, but I’m truly grateful to think that, in some small way, I may have made a contribution to society.

Discovering My Potential Through a New Challenge
I was initially apprehensive about doing annotation work for the first time, but it turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable - I became completely absorbed, almost as if I were playing a game. The workflow was explained clearly, which allowed me to navigate the tasks smoothly and complete them faster than I had expected. This gave me a strong sense of accomplishment. I'm excited to continue building my experience and developing my skills. I’m truly grateful to Baobab for providing me with the opportunity to take this important first step.
