We are pleased to announce that Baobab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nippon Hospitality Tabi Company (NHT) in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.

 

Since 2022, Baobab has been offering its Annotation Skills Training Program (ALT Program) to refugees both in Japan and abroad. The program has run three successful sessions, providing participants—who often face barriers to traditional employment due to caregiving responsibilities or their status as refugees—with the opportunity to gain practical annotation skills.
Participants have shared positive feedback about the program, with comments such as, “I’m grateful to be able to work,” “This job suits me,” and “I want to further improve my skills in this promising field.”

 

With this new MOU, Baobab aims to expand its impact by bringing annotation and IT skills training to residents of Central Asia. The company is exploring ways to create more job opportunities in the global market and improve the income levels of individuals in the region.
